The Bradden style gate is one of our most popular styles of gate. It can be made as either a single side gate or as a double set of driveway gates. It is ideal in a traditional, rural or contemporary urban setting. With its high design and closed in appearance it provides the owner maximum privacy once shut.
Construction – tongue and groove boards are set in a heavy duty wooden framework, ledged and braced with mortise and tenon joints.

This is a currently a very popular choice of gate, with its classic swan neck bowed top. Unlike the Bradden this is a set piece and due to the rise in the centre of the two leaves will only cater for driveway gates. It has a high and closed design that offers the owner privacy, but it has a lovely traditional feel.

Cottesbrooke (Bar)
The Cottesbrooke is a traditional looking driveway gate with its swan neck top rail and metal infill.
With the black bars and the black hinges they make a nice set.

The Winwick is on a lovely solid gate with a soft curved top. Due to its height and closed appearance it offers the owner the feeling of privacy once it is shut. This gate can be made as either a side gate or as a double set of driveway gates. It has a contemporary yet traditional feel.

The gate furniture we use at Holdenbys is of the highest quality and comes in a Powder coated Black or a Galvanised finish. Below is a pcture of the standard sets we provide. The Hinge size changes in relation to what size gate you require. The rule of thumb is a Gate hinge should be no less than ⅓ of the total width of the leaf.
The throw lock is a High security lock that when fitted provides you with all you need from any key entry device for gates. This Stainless steel constructed housing withstands any weather and continues to work freely. By simply turning the key you throw the piece of 1” Stainless bar across into the keep thus locking the gate. It is a Gate Mate product so carries a manufacturer guarantee.
